from an interview WITH PARSA
Q: How did you develop as an artist?
A: I’m a true believer that our journey through life is ever-changing and evolving. The actions we take today, shape our tomorrow and eventually the weeks that follow. I feel this theory is no different from the development of my craft. Every journey has a beginning and mine began with the love of automobiles and creatures (dragons). At the age of 8, I knew that I wanted to be an Artist when I “grew up” - little did I know then, is that artist never really grows up and that’s what makes us who we are. My calling to expression came out of necessity, a powerful urgency to express myself of the various vulnerable experiences endured during the foundational periods of life; ultimately expediting my transition from Childhood to Adulthood.
Every day, I continue to push the boundaries of my expression and craft by exploring new mediums, conversations, and experiences to expand my horizons as an inter-disciplinary Artist & Creative Director. Asking questions and spending time outside of my comfort zone allows me to learn naturally and develop my craft. A certainty an Artist can rely on is the uncertainties of the path we take, rather than fight it… work alongside it.
