“Means to an End” was inspired by my unintentional mythologization of everything around me. One day, I found myself tangled in the grand histories that I had assigned to people and places - most of them based in Greek mythology. I had been superimposing Olympian alter egos onto the people around me, and imagining pastoral Arcadian landscapes in dirty city parks. This series is the exploration into some of these webs and seeing through reality to the mythology underneath.
Kimberly is an avid reader and encyclopedia on the odd. She is constantly on a quest of attaining more knowledge. Suffering from a debilitating fear of loss, she uses photography as a tool to preserve time and illustrate dreams – preventing both from slipping through fingers like sand. Kimberly grew up an hour north of Manhattan, and currently works and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
